Catching up again.... lol

I know it's been a while since I've been here blogging, so I guess I should get things caught up. The only problem is, where to start??? ...lol.

Our oldest son dropped out of college and has gone back to work full time until he figures out what he wants to do with his life. He's not sure he wants to even go back to school. I've told him he's young and has plenty of time to figure it out. If he decides to not go back to school and just continue working, I'm fine with it as long as it's what he wants to do. It's his life, I can't tell him how to live it. I never even went to college, so I can't really tell him he has to go anyway. He does have an Associates Degree. He is also an ordained minister through Universal Life Church. I've been wanting to do that myself so I can perform themed weddings. Perhaps now is the time to stop wanting to do it and just do it...lol.

Our youngest is a Senior in high school this year. He joined the National Guard and has been going to drills the last few months, he's at drills right now. The first time he came home in all his gear it brought tears to my eye. He looked so grown up! He will leave for Basic Training this summer, then come back to go to school in the Fall.

My hubby is still running. He doesn't get out as much in the winter, but goes as often as he can. I'd like to get him a nice treadmill for winter running. I'm thinking this will be the year I can get out and run with him. I'm 30 pounds lighter than last year at this time and working hard to keep losing more.

Speaking of the weight loss, I'm very happy to say I made it to Onederland!!! I'm finally back down into the 100's. Only 53 pounds to go to reach my goal weight. I had 85 to lose, I was feeling kinda hopeless there for a while because I was hovering at 200-202 for so long I didn't think it was going to drop. But it did and it felt great! I have a mini-goal to lose 20 pounds by my sons graduation in June, I'm over half way there :-)

I'm getting alot of help to lose weight from MyFitnessPal. I also use SparkPeople, but not as much as MFP. You can check out my pages if you'd like,

Brigit has really become part of the family. She is helping me exercise too with all the walks she takes me on...lol. I feel so bad for her though when we have to walk in the deep snow, her tiny little legs and belly get packed with snow.

She loves cheese and sharing dinner with Daddy. We usually eat on the couch and she jumps right up there with him and gets on his lap waiting for a snack. She's such a silly girl!

Here's a pic of Brigit & me taken at a Christmas party. Brigit had a cute Christmas dress on.
She's such a pretty girl in her little dress!!!

As you can see in the pic, I got my long hair cut short. It's even shorter now, I got a Halle Berry pixie cut. I like it. I do miss my long hair sometimes, but for now, while I'm focusing on getting my body in shape, I want it easy to just wash & go.
